Frugal Friends...

Living Almost Large is hosting a Festival of Frugality! These are great and I always feel like I wish had photographic memory so I could easily recall all the wealth of experience shared. I always find a new blog to subscribe to which is like making a new friend. Speaking of friends, I wanted to share a little about my frugal friends.

My friends are frugal, like I am. They are also the kindest, warmest, most generous people I know. I have benefited from their cooking skills when they send me a plate or bowl because they ALWAYS cook so they can eat more than one meal from the food. I benefit from their spring cleaning rituals because I will receive a bag of clothes that just happen to be my size and just happen to be what I need. I benefit from their skills because while I can fix computers, I can't fix my lawnmower (thanks Russell!). I benefit from their love, their support and their belief in paying-it-forward. I am deeply humbled to be able to call these wonderful, frugal, honest, giving, loving, strong, and inspiring people my friends.

Frugality is a way of life for me. It is an attitude about life that goes right to my bones. I have learned so much that goes beyond just saving money. The greatest gift my frugal life has taught me is that of gratitude. I am so fortunate to be a member of a great big frugal family that includes friends offline and online. Thanks from the bottom of my heart to everyone who has helped me know it is okay to just be "me". Thank you for helping me to understand that quality of life isn't things, but people. Thank you for letting me learn from your challenges and bumps in the road. Thank you for letting me know it's okay to stumble, that I need to get up, dust off, and keep going. And thanks for reminding me to laugh once in awhile. You are my friends, and how wonderful you are.
